Together with Baolin Temple, Purple Cloud Temple is also one of the Two Great Rarities in Shunde .It was first established at the stage of Han–Jin Dynasty more than 1900 years ago. In 1997, Longjiang Town invested over 20 million RMB to rebuild the temple. Now, the temple is situated on the hill and adjacent to the Beijiang River .All spots in the temple, such as Stone Tablets Lane, ancient trees and rare woods, Grand Hall, The Hall of Heavenly Emperor, the Hall of Five Hundred Arhats, the Hall of Earth Guard, the Bell Tower, General Building and the Pool for tree captive animals are interlaced but in regular sequence, makes the temple look more magnificent and grand. Sanbao Great Buddha, Smiling Buddha, Guanyin, Wenshu, Puxian, Twenty–eight immortals of Heaven, Four Kings of Heaven and the two military officers Heng and Ha are true to life .All couplets and epigraphs in the temple written by countrywide calligraphers had been strictly examined, it makes an increase in culture atmosphere. Anyway, the temple has become and ideal place for religion activities and tour.
