Jinyan Hillock is situated at the side of Jinyan Road, Daliang, the whole mountain is made up by stones, reddish brown with light color spots, slightly like the brocade, so it's also named bright and beautiful rock hillock. The hill is only 27 meters high, and a lot of humane views in successive dynasties: The East Buddhist Nunnery is the place that Chen Yanye (Bangyan) who is a heroic martyr at the end of Ming Dynasty and one of three famous loyal persons in the south of the Five Ridges studied at and gave lectures. The mountaintop is the place which "rock night moon" of "eight scenes of phoenix city " in Kangxi Qing Dynasty. Jinyan Temple, which is at the east foot of the hillock nearly built in the Southern Song Dynasty, besides, there are Chen Yanye Gentleman Shrine, water Moon Palace (West Buddhist Nunnery), Jinhua Ancient Temple, etc.. In 1982, the county's and the town's governments allocated funds for rebuilding it, and it's opened up the whole rock hillock as a park.
