Covering a total area of 4,000 Mu (about 2.67 km2), including 2,500,000 m2 of construction area, Lecong Steel World is one of the major projects of modern service industry in Guangdong Province. With an investment of 10 billion Yuan, including 5.5 billion Yuan in the first phase, Lecong Steel World will become China’s biggest steel market with most complete functions and advanced design that deals with steel trading, logistics & distribution, processing, warehouse and information exchanges, with more than 20 million tons of steel trading volume and 10 million tons of production capacity every year once finished construction. It aims at providing all-around and one-stop services for steel manufacturers, steel dealers and purchasers to meet different demands.
    Located in Lecong Town, Shunde District, Foshan, Lecong Steel World is at the junction of the Foshan 1st Ring Road and Xingui Road, with Shunde Expressway running through it. It is only 30km away from Guangzhou; through Foshan 1st Ring Road, Lecong-Longjiang Road, Xingui Road and G325, it can reach Foshan-Kaiping Highway and PRD 2nd Ring Road in 10 minutes, reach ports, railway station and airport in half an hour, and to Guangzhou, Jiangmen, Dongguan, Zhongshan and major cities in the PRD in 1 hour. Connected to the Greater Foshan and radiating the PRD, Shunde is well-located with easy access to water and land transport, by which goods are shipped to the whole country and the world.
    Lecong Steel World is divided into 4 functions, including spot goods, processing, warehouse and commerce. It plans to establish a steel trading and R&D headquarter in order to attract steel headquarter companies at home and abroad as well as to build a platform for modern steel logistics and a new industrial carrier. At present, more than 900 steel enterprises have launched and over 20 banks and financial institutions will settle in when the commercial district is built.
    The processing district covers an area of 160,000 m2. The buildings are monolayer and each warehouse has an area of about 3,800 m2.
